Apeel Sciences Tour

During this Breaching Biotech event, our students were able to tour through Apeel Sciences, a company that creates a barrier made of plant material in order to protect plant produce. Students visited the labs to see how fruits were kept fresh using the methods of green science. Students also toured throught the manufacturing room of the company and viewed how machines were used to manufacture the product which is a barrier sprayed onto produce, that is made of produce as well. Our students were also able to see the marketing side to biotechnology and visited a room where advertisements were produced. Overall, this was a very fun experience for Breaching Biotech members!
